New b from KC


Have a 2015 Capo and really liking it thus far.
Of course I needed to get a lower seat and am looking for the best screen and a red top box.
Other than that, it only has 6k miles and the aforementioned throttle jerkiness and such is apparent. Iíve decided thus far to just ride her over 3k rpms. At least itís more fun that way!
Also trying to deactivate the TC but not found the secret formula yet.

G'day inditx...... SudEst has posted a video on the main forum (2014-2017) which shws how to deactivate your TC.

This forum was originally titled 2013 Caponord 1200 and never really got started - most used it as their first start to forum posting, before finding the 2014-17 forum had all the action/answers/complaints/mods/etc.


Ps changing the gearing isn't a fix for the tight motor-ride by wire hic-ups...... but it will correct the stupid 'tall' gearing and make city riding much easier. You can correct the gearing by either fitting a 1 tooth smaller front sprocket (16t) or a larger rear sprocket (3teeth bigger would equal the 16t front so some went for 2 teeth bigger on the rear as a compromise city-open road gearing...... chain length will be tight though..... there were some posts on this in the 14-17 forum). It was just so much easier to do the front sprocket which made the gearing feel more like a Jap bike's.

PPs I was doing 2k kms a month on my Red TP so I clocked up more kms in 6 months than the snow season Euro/US guys did in a year, so my throttle was a PITA for only 4-6months..... less of a problem once I changed to the 16t front sprocket. The Capo was one sweet bike once it finally ran in. After approx 12k kms it was fine, around 20k kms I had forgotten the throttle jerks and the bike was brilliant all the way up to 39,000kms when I took a test ride on the 1290SDGT.............. also, the motor is not designed to be ridden at low rpm like an old cruiser...... it is meant to run in the 3-4-5k rpm range (and more) as it has a lighter flywheel for increased performance - so give it heaps and enjoy
