What is the recommended fuel 87or 89 or 91? And other newbie Q's

What is the recommended octane fuel for the 1200 Caponord? 87, 89'or 91?

By the way, I test drove a demo 1200 Capo and really liked it. I am 6'2" tall and it gave me great leg room. My wife did not go with me on the test ride, but sat on the seat and really liked it. She liked the seating position better than my current bike - a 2006 Yamaha FJR 1300 with a Corbin seat. The bike handled very well and the ride over bumps was unbelievable. Plenty of power for sure and fun to ride. I am wondering what the 2016 model year will bring? Also, am curious that it seems like as far as I know that most of the 2015's were manufactured in 2014. Is that true?

Thanks,
Scott

Hi, just come off a 2004 FJR myself and went the Caponord route. Totally different machine so hard to compare like for like. All I know is I now want to be out every chance I get where the FJR became a little boring though very capable. Really puts a grin on my face when riding it. I am using standard unleaded (95) in the UK though I ran the superunleaded (98) most of the early miles, can't say I noticed any difference.

Talking Use 95 octane or better or melt your motor

G'day from Australia.....my Capo Travel Pack has a white sticker on the right side of the tank cover (just in front of the seat). That states 'use 95 ULP minimum'.

Remember, this is a 12:1 compression high performance V twin and I'd reckon if you use 87-91 octane your motor will run really hot and may even run poorly.

Hi again, just a quick note - Twinkie the Kid put me straight about US octane ratings in the 'other' forum......and what we know as PULP 95 octane in Aus is the same as 92 or there abouts in the grand ole US of A......

Sorry for any confusion.......
