Information please. Capo vs MS

Hi, I noticed that some folk have gone to the Capo from the Multistrada. Would appreciate their thoughts on the two, the Ducati is a lot more money and I was really wondering if you think the Aprillia is a worthy option. Coming from the FJR anything will feel lighter but I do like the FJR get up and go grunt even though I don't thrash about these days and I like to be able to overtake with out having to drop loads of gears. Also I get around 45 to 50 MPG(UK) on the FJR, how does this compare to a normal day out on the Capo. I really like the look of the bike and am going to test one at Teesdale motorcycles in the near future along with the Guzzi Stelvio.

Go and see Andy at Teasdales and take out the white Capo demo bike for a couple of hours. Try out all the modes on different roads. Make sure you try the "Auto" setting and find some pot holes which will vanish under your rear wheel.

You will not be short of power or speed, these things do 0 - 60 in 2.9 seconds which is only 0.1 of a second slower than the MS. You can roll on the power without changing down and the Capo gives you all the power you will ever need smoothly and very quickly.

I rode the Ducati before the Caponord and there is no comparison in terms of ride comfort and suspension and handling, the Capo wins hands down. The MS feels faster but the numbers suggest that there's nothing in it. I think that the sensation of speed with the MS comes from poorer suspension and an uncomfortable riding position. I have chased and caught plenty of Itchysooki sports bikes on the Capo in total comfort

If you want to turn the Capo into a sports bike with really firm ride just lie to it! You can tell the bike that it is two up with full luggage and in Sport mode it will feel sharp and stiff. Personally I hardly ever take mine out of auto now, it "learns" your riding style and fits you like a Saville Row suit.

If you ride the demo and don't buy one I'll be shocked.
Enjoy yourself and let me know how you get on.

P.S. Forget the Stelvio - not in the same class.

Thanks for that, I must admit when I looked at the bike having gone to look at the Super Tenere I almost wanted it there and then, the demo is coming up for sale too. That's the bike he has offered me as demo, thought I would ride over to Thirsk from Darlington then take is to Whitby and back. Get a good feel for it as I know the road reasonably well.

I Ride: Aprilia Caponord Rally
I have just traded my 2016 Multistrada Touring Non S for a new Cap Rally. The ducati has been a nightmare since 700 miles, continual break downs, and engine check light on and running in limp mode. All to do with the valve train. Anyways i picked up my new Caponord This morning, and i will honestly say that i prefer the suspension on the cap. Its more comfortable also. Lights are better. It might not have 160 horses, but a good rider on the cap could stick with a MS i believe anyways.

Don't forget the option of the capo rally too. Mine wont see any proper off road but I prefered the look to the T.P.
Still some good deals to.be had in new and demo models.

I just traded my problematic MS 2016 DVT for a new Caponord Rally. I really believe the cap is a better bike.

Hi guys, Rocky actually bought a TP way back.....so I guess the previous MS didn't catch his attention for long - I recently rode the DVT1200 and while it was better on fuel and power it was not as comfy as my Caddi-Nord.....and $36k Aus is a lot for a motorcycle! Even a RED one!

Cheers

I didn't even try the MS in the end as I just wanted the Capo having ridden it. Cost of the MS too was steep with all the luggage etc.
