Unhappy IDIOT! I put diesel in my Capo.

To try and explain why I made such a stupid error....

I had been to Ypres in Belgium to visit the war graves and the Menin Gate, it rained solidly all the way there and all the way back of a 900 mile trip but was actually quite nice while I was there.
Anyway on the way back to the Eurotunnel I pulled in for fuel at a service station where one pump (at the end) was available, the pump said "PETROLE" on it and it had a green hose and nozzle. The spout did not quite fit in the tank (THIS IS WHERE I WAS THICK) but I put this down to a quirk of the Frenchies! I squeezed off 0.85 litres of agricultural diesel into a quarter full tank before the smell made me realise it was not unleaded.
I topped up with unleaded to the brim and set off fully expecting the bike to start playing up somewhere up the road but it didn't. I filled up again on the M11 and got back to North Yorkshire on that tankful.
I spoke to my dealer the next day and the service bloke said that it should be okay and if it was going to go wrong it would have done before now.
I left the bike for a week then went out with heavy mate on the back the following weekend. The bike sounded and went fine up to around 5000 revs but it sounds "different" than normal after that and feels down on power - that could be due to there being 200kg (31 stone) of Yorkshire meat on it though.

So, my question which of the following do you advise:

A) Back to dealer for strip down and huge bill

B) Just keep riding it hard until it clears itself of any remaining Frog oil

C) Trade it in for a BMW S1000XR and don't mention the diesel.

D) Bung some Redex in it and announce a new Pope with the smoke

Ashamed of Yorkshire

G'day Maggar from Aussie trawler......

I've been laid up recovering from heart surgery and dropped in on my old stomping ground (when I had a Capo12TP) .......

Not an expert, but less than a litre of Deso mixed in with 20ltres of ULP shouldn't cause any grief. (famous last words eh ).

Maybe run that tank dry and fill up with some nice new 95 Octane and go for a good ride in the open countryside and see how it revs past 5k rpm.

Try it in sport and touring just to make sure...... I used to squirt small amounts of two stroke oil into my metal tanked bikes to help guard against possible rust and lubricate carburetors/injectors/valves with no issues long term.

Cheers mate

Ps Trade it on a 1290SDGT - much more fun than a vibrating/revy S1000xr....... but I am biased...

Pps Last night I had a thoughtie........ Just possible the Diesel might have fouled a plug or two or four (Capo has four) = try a tank or two of Valvoline injector cleaner as it will not affect your fuel float sender and it will clean injector nozzles and plug electrodes at a very cheap cost....

I used it regularly for two years on my Capo12TP with no problems and still use it on both my bikes today.
