Caponord 1200 thinking about it

Hi, I posted this in another forum so sorry if you have seen it before. I am stalking the Caponord 1200 and have some questions that would be great if owners could answers.

Fairing and screen can this bike cruse for hours at 70+ (autobahn ;-) ) without bufferting. If not does an aftermarket screen cure it
Seat - most bikes give you butt death after an hour is this bike the same
Can the handlebars be adjusted down/up or replaced
Does anyone know of an aftermarket clutch slave
Could people comment on the 3 worst aspects of the bike

fairing is ok, screen can be replaced (puig) but normally it is good enough.
yes you can cruise for a long period. Wind protection is not as much as for exemple a BMW1200GT but sufficient to cruise for hours on the autobahn.
The seat is excellent, no pain in the arse.
Handlebars can not be adjusted but the are at the right place. No need to adjust them.
They say that the clutch is "hard" but in my opinion it is not harder or softer than another clutch.
worst aspects: 1. below 3000 rpm engine is a bit "rude" but this is relatif.
2. gearing is to wide but I replaced the backsprocket. I have 2 teeth more now and it is much better
3. no air temperature indicator in dashbord

Thanks for that. Main issue to me looks like fuelling and fuel range. Spent 12 years fighting erratic fuel injection with my Duke and not sure that I want to go back to that AND spend 12.5K to do so.

the fuel range is ok.
you can do 300 km (highway/autobahn)
It's like most other touring bikes

A few years ago I had a BMW K1200GT, the fuel range was about the same as my capo now

Hi Johnny

The seat is very comfy.i was going to buy the gel seat with the bike but the dealer put me off and he was right...lovely.
Fuel more me it is a bit heavy on fuel but it seems to be getting better. Now got just over 1000 miles on it. I reckon I could get about 200miles on a tank if I didn't thrash it.
Fantastic riding position but for me the screen is too short...or too long perhaps. I'm looking for a second hand Stelvio one which apparently bolts straight on. Will post when I have one and see what it's like. It certainly wouldn't put me off.
The only real problem I've had with the bike is one of the panniers is difficult to lock on but that is being sorted when it goes in to have a 'technical update' ....something to so with an expansion tank problem.
Tyres are great and very grippy
Get one!!!
